Cordless Pole Saw Care and Maintenance
Cordless pole saws are a great tool for trimming branches and limbs. But like any tool, they require care and maintenance to keep them running smoothly. Here are a few simple steps to extend the life of your cordless pole saw.
If the chain is damaged, replace it with a new one.
Cleaning after using the tool is one of the most important things you can do to maintain your cordless pole saw. Do not use water or liquid detergents.
Tensioning the saw chain
The saw chain must not sag but should have 2-3 mm of play. You can check and adjust the tension by following these steps:
Check tension by pulling the chain in the middle of the saw rail. There should be 2-3 mm of play.
If the chain is too loose, repeat the steps above. If the chain is too tight, loosen the handwheel and turn the tensioner wheel counterclockwise to release some of the tension.
