Tool and Safety Tips
Redback is committed to the safe use of striking tools. See below for a list of tips and reminders when using Redback Tools products - remember, safety comes first!
• Users and bystanders should always wear safety goggles when using striking tools. Make sure you are using approved safety goggles.
• As a reminder, we have a Warning message embedded permanently in all our grips and on all point-of-sale labels.
• Always use the correct tool for the job. Hammers are one of the most abused and misused of all hand tools.
• Injuries can be caused by using the wrong hammer for the job or a damaged hammer.
• Always strike the surface squarely.
• Never strike the face of one hammer or striking tool against the face of another.
• Never strike a chisel or other hand tool with a hammer.
• Never use damaged tools.
Discard your tool if:
• The striking tool face is chipped or mushroomed.
• The claw is cracked or damaged
• The shaft is damaged in any way
