I like everything about the Redback Smart Pack of tools.

I have had many hammers over my time as a carpenter but the Maxistrike is the one I use all the time now. The balance and handle length are just right and grip has held up to many years of use. The Arc shaft makes access to tight spots easy and takes the vibration out of the hit. Because the hammer is different I always get quizzed about it and I’m happy to tell people why I like it. I’ve tried the Estwings, Cyclones and others but they just weren’t quite right.

The other Redback tools are as good as they get as well. The S5 Phillips screwdriver is the best I’ve used compared to say Knipex, as it does all the Phillips heads. It’s easier and more versatile than a power driver, I carry it everywhere. The sketch tape is stronger than most and you can write on it. And the Maxiknife is comfortable and easy to use, more so than the traditional Stanley knife everyone usually has.

All in all Redback’s Smart Pack of tools is hard to beat and for a small Australian company to get it right on its entire tool range is a pretty good effort.

The hammer is for my boyfriend [who is] a formwork carpenter. His Redback Boss hammer broke a few weeks ago. Lasted 5 years so it's his favourite and [he] wants the same hammer...cannot part from it, at the moment it is duct taped.

I purchased the hammer in the first place because the hammers I used in the past were straining my elbow where as the Maxistrike gave no ill affect it was rather good hammer to use.

[I] have received hammer and Smart Pack, thanks. I have bought one [hammer] every year for the last 5 years (from Bunnings) as a donation to a school for their presentation night. I came up with the idea of a Craftsman Award, to encourage our young ones to take on a trade, because we are short of them.

When I was an apprentice, many years ago I received hacksaw as an award and still use it, so I searched the internet for a good hammer and come across yours. It also looks special and has room for engraving on the shaft. Bunnings no longer stock your hammer

I have used Estwing hammers for the past twenty plus years in the UK when I emigrated three years ago I bought a Redback hammer from Tool Mart .I think that Redback hammers are better, I am in the formwork game so they get a good run. All the best Dave P.S. the last Red Back still going strong but thought I'd give the 20 oz King Hit a try.

I received a Redback "Maxi Knife" as a Christmas gift (I am an electrician). The first time I went to use it I knew this was a well designed tool. It was comfortable to use, it was solid, I preferred it over the other one I had been using. After several weeks of using it, one day the blade would not retract. I discovered the blade holder/thumb button was severed. I put it aside and recently went back to Lowes where my wife said she had purchased it. I was disappointed to learn they no longer have these available. They offered to give me my money back, but I really would like MY TOOL back! Can you help?? I really like the features of this knife. Can I get a replacement part for this knife? Is it still being manufactured? I would appreciate any assistance. Thank You.
Thank you kindly for your immediate response [to replace the knife]. It reinforces the image I had of Redback Tools from the first time I saw them at Lowes-simply PROFESSIONAL! It is hard to find TRULY good tools today. My only regret is that I was not aware of your other product offerings. Apparently Lowes chose not to offer them.

I certainly wish you the best in the USA market. American professionals are quite reluctant to try new, "unknown" tools, especially if they are pleased with their present ones. The good news in this is that once they find a great tool-they are fiercely loyal-and are not afraid to tell others!

I want to thank you again for your assistance. It is wonderful to do business with a company as responsive as yours. I am so used to the "computer-generated", "one size fits all" responses; it is great to know you are working with a company that "gets it" when it comes to dealing with a customer.
